Casey is flying to Florida for his father's 70th birthday. Uber to Laguardia. New airport. Good and beautiful. They like the waterfall. Jetblue plane. Yoda toy with a unicorn dress. Georgie's toy. Hotel room. 9am, Casey and the kids are awake for a long time but Candice is still sleeping. They are trying to make her out of the bed. They leave the hotel to meet Casey's dad. His dad is retired for 3 or 4 years, in Florida, and they haven't visited him once. The whole family should have been there but Dan can't be here. Sarasota Jungle Garden, big black pig. They feed the flamingos. Later they try the swimming pool, it is freezing, the girls enjoy the pool. Lots of memories. There is no more visceral reminder of getting older and time passing than watching your parents get old. Later the kids play with an old piano outside. Birthday cake.
