2019-01-15 - oops.. Testing TESLA's PERFORMANCE MODEL 3
Season 4 - Episode 111 - 01-15-2019
Autopilot test of the Tesla in Venice California. Tesla Model 3 review. Casey is in California. He borrowed a Model 3 Performance. This is the most expensive version of the cheapest model. The interior is minimalist. 2 buttons on the steering wheel and one big touch screen. It should be ok for anyone who knows how to use the settings of his smartphone. The autopilot is really good, way better than the different pilot assist available in other cars. You can see what the autopilot sees: on the screen you can watch the lanes, the other cars that has been detected, so you feel confident on how it will handle the situation. The experience is really great. It changes the way you drive. Casey uses the autopilot probably 80% of the time. The cars feels tight, gas, breaking feels good. the performance is very good too. 0-60mph in 3.3 seconds. Casey tries to go faster than a custom built Audi next to it but the Audi is way faster. Kyle will test the Tesla. They spin in circles burning the tires. Huge torque. Kyle finds the car performance really good but the lack of sound engine is disturbing. Casey likes the fact that if you can plug it at home, it is always like having a full tank of gasoline every morning. In NYC he almost never has to stop at a station to charge it. Back in NYC he explains why he thinks there is such a enthusiast hype around Tesla cars. Golden rule for marketing: the company sells an idea and the consumer buy the product. Nike, Apple... but for automobile there is a lack of imagination... until Tesla appeared. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=1gTBZyGJyQc
