In the studio, Casey wants to do something a little different. He shows an excerpt of Southpark and read inspirational quotes : it always seems impossible, until it's done. You are only confined by the walls you build yourself. Do something today that your future self will thank you for. Positivity being the norm, great. But he wants to share what pursuing your dream really means (according him). Caveats, he is not a cynic but there are things that are less glamorous that what is normally associated with pursuing your dreams. You can get whatever you want but you can't want whatever you want. Extract from a movie with Leonardo DiCaprio screaming. You have to be possessed to have whatever you want, so not everybody wants to be like that. To achieve a dream you have to commit your entire life into it. 2 possible outcomes: you'll succeed or you'll die trying. Extract from a movie with Robert De Niro. The guy ready to die will win. He talks of a heavy metal band called Anvil, nobody knows it unless you have seen a documentary about it. A band from the early 80's, they were kinda big but never exploded. They were never Metallica. The lead singer never gave up on the dream to be a rock star. 20 years later he has a unglamorous job in Canada, but he continues to play wherever he could. Everyone thought he was crazy. So crazy that someone made a documentary about him not giving up on his dream. The documentary was successful, it brought attention to the guy and the band and people want to see them. They booked a world tour. He achieved the dream. He committed his entire life to pursue his dream and he got it. The second important thing is that pursuing a dream may not guarantee a great life. The path of that rock singer was having a crappy job and having people around him thinking he is crazy during 20 years. Nobody wants to talk about that but that is an important part. So the most important thing to take into consideration is "are you happy?". Dreams and goals matter. They serve as guiding lines in life. Don't let your dreams be dreams. Happiness matters. He did it because the "follow your dreams" needed to be a special thing, separate from the regular vlog. This parts 2 starts with Casey explaining that just after he finished the edit of the first part. Boosted board ride to the office. In the back of the studio he shows the mess, but it is improving. All the previous lights are unplugged, but he imagines when everything will be well lit. Ride to Juice Press. He had already said 10 times that he won't eat anything but healthy food, but he struggles with it so he asks the audience to give him hard times in the comments if he eats something unhealthy. He wont edit the parts where he eats junk food if he does it. Selfie with a girl in the street, his fiancé is a fan. "Mother earth" green smoothie with kale. It doesn't taste great. Back at the studio. Casey explains that in his building a friend has built the tiniest museum of NYC, one door in an alley, a previous elevator. New installation every year. Alex, the curator, asked him if he could do drone shots around the place. He goes in the alley with Alex. He show the elevator shaft, the open doors but not what is inside. The drone shot will be the drone starting at the museum level then climb all the way to the top of the building and above to locate where the museum is. It is a tricky shot because the alley is very narrow and it messes up the GPS and wifi communication with the drone. Last time he tried something like that he almost lost the drone. He starts his dji phantom 4 and make it climb. Major problem but he manages to recover the drone. Second try, lost connection. They have to do it again. Last time is the good one. Casey is allowed to show the drone shot but he has to pixelate what is inside the museum. Back in the studio he gives an SD car with the footage on it to Alex. He can't make an episode focused on the shoot of a drone sequence without announcing the giveaway of the third dji drone. Spontaneous. Need to subscribe and follow him on instagram, and comment the picture where he is holding the drone and he will randomly pick the winner. That's it, he is out of drones to give avay.
