The UPS guy almost tried the self balancing board. Candice and the poodle in the bed, she is watching yesterday's vlog. Early meeting this morning with a designer. The app is almost ready to launch. It will be tough to continue the vlog, but who knows. New story today. when is it ok to give up on a project that you started.A teaser: it's never ok. But before: lunch with the whole team. On the road, quick selfies with fans, then he finaly finds the team at the usual place. It feels like summercamp. Everybody is sitting outside. They talk about sandwiches: good but too much dressing, it's falling appart so hard to eat... A for effort but they need to improve. There is a lip in front of his studio door, it's hard to climb on it with the self balancing board. he needs to fix that. Back to the idea of when to give up on a projet. Casey is angry against Canon because his camera stopped recording with an error message and the whole shot is forever lost. Candice is mad at him when he smashes things but ... he takes the axe and smashes his camera. He continues with a fancy Canon 5D mark III but it shows right on this camera the problem that occurs so often: "Movie recording has been stopped automatically". No explaination. He uses the fastest memory card on the market. There is no reason why they stop recording but they do. He uses his point and shoot for the end of today's vlog. It's brilliently appropriate that he has so much trouble for finishing today's movie which is supposed to be about movies that he has trouble finishing. Back to the real story. In 2011, a huge snow day in NYC. They shot some scenes in Time square. 4 years later, during summer they shot the exact same movie but in the hottest day of the year. They never finished the movie. 4 years ago he went to Afghanistan. He was with a friend to tattoo soldiers there. They succeed. He made the movie, it's ready sitting on a hard drive but he never released it. It's such an important deal for him, especially because of the people (some were badly hurt), he feels obligated to do a perfect job, make a movie that captures who they are and what they're doing. He still is not confident that his current edit does that. So he is working with an editor to help him. It's not finished but he is still working on it. Vlogging about it today will probably help him to move forward. End of the vlog in the street with a new camera. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=dK9SSu3uZ2Q
